Waukon girls basketball team’s split of non-conference pair includes 37-33 home-opening win over MFL/MarMac, 55-44 loss at Wahlert

The Waukon girls basketball team split consecutive nights of competition in a week that was heavy with action early on, both of those games being played against non-conference foes. The Lady Indians first held off MFL/MarMac at home Monday, November 29 for a 37-33 triumph before falling at Dubuque Wahlert the very next evening, Tuesday, November 30, by a 55-44 final result.

The Indians were next scheduled to play Monday, December 6 at Clayton Ridge before another consecutive nights of action, traveling to Caledonia, MN Thursday, December 9 and then hosting Crestwood Friday, December 10. The bucket Tribe will then play at New Hampton Tuesday, December 14 and host Waverly-Shell Rock Friday, December 17 before hosting Decorah Tuesday, December 21 to wrap up the pre-holiday portion of this season’s schedule.
