Juniors Regan, Dickson claim tournament titles at 126 and 182 pounds
The Waukon wrestling team competed in its final home dual meet and final weekend tournament prior to the holiday break in a busy latter half of this past week. The Indians first hosted Decorah at home Thursday, December 16, falling by a 48-33 final result to remain in search of their first dual win of the season before wrestling to a fourthplace team finish behind the strength of two individual championships and one runner-up finish at the Doug Guilford Invitational hosted by Starmont High School Saturday, December 18. The Indians were next scheduled to wrap up the pre-holiday portion of their 2021-2022 schedule with a Tuesday, December 21 double dual at Fillmore Central High School in Minnesota that will also feature South Winneshiek. The wrestling Tribe will then return to the mat for a very busy first week of the new year, competing at Caledonia, MN Tuesday, January 4 and at Charles City Thursday, January 6 before participating in tournaments at Central Elkader Friday, January 7 and at Crestwood Saturday, January 8.
