Mary Ann Moody was born June 9, 1964, in Waterloo. She lived with her parents Joan (Willert) and Richard Moody and sibling Rick and Brenda in La Porte City, Eagle Grove, and Waukon until age 18. Mary Ann then lived in residential facilities for “special needs” people in Charles City and Elma. When Mosaic built their first group home in Waukon in 1992, she was able to move close to home; now she could enjoy frequent home visits and family gatherings.

She attended TASC for 27 years. Mary Ann loved family camping, visits with grandparents, ice cream, picnics, attending school plays and concerts, church, and especially Jim Bieber playing the organ. She also loved Christmas and we rejoice with her that this year will be her grandest and most glorious Christmas ever – home at last with her precious savior Jesus and her beloved dad and grandparents.

Mary Ann is survived by her mother Joan Moody of Waukon; her brother Rick (Jamie) Moody of West Salem, WI; sister Brenda (Dave) Dougherty of Waukon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Richard in 2004 and her four grandparents.

Honorary casketbearers are Stacia, Heidi, and Olivia Dougherty. Casketbearers are Dave, Nicholas, and Jacob Dougherty and Devin Ryan.
