Kee boys track team opens outdoor schedule at Ed-Co Invitational

The Kee boys track team was finally able to compete in its first outdoor meet of the 2022 season, but that first outdoor meet also proved to be the Hawks’ last and only competition of this past week after the Thursday, April 7 Postville Invitational was canceled due to weather. Kee’s tracksters battled not only the 15 other teams at the event, but also some cold, windy and wet conditions when they competed at the Edgewood-Colesburg Invitational Tuesday evening, April 5.

In that large field, the Hawks scored 14 points coming from just two events that accounted for half of their top-10 finishes at the meet. Those 14 points placed Kee 13th out of the meet’s 16 teams.

The Kee boys were next slated to compete Monday, April 11 at the Decorah Invitational before they compete Thursday, April 14 at MFL/MarMac. The Hawks will then travel to Oelwein Monday, April 18  before hosting their own home invitational Thursday, April 21, which is slated to begin at 4:30 p.m.
