Ferryville, WI River Bluff Daze this Saturday

The annual River Bluff Daze event is scheduled to be held in Ferryville, WI Saturday, July 23. Further details can be found at www.visitferryville.com, in the ad on Page 4 this week, or on Facebook at ferryvillewi.

At 8:30 a.m. a nature hike will take place at Sugar Creek Bluff Natural Area.  Participants are asked to meet at the Ferryville Boat Landing at 8:30 a.m. and carpool to the trailhead of Sugar Creek Bluff. Hikers will see birds, wildlife and wildflowers while hiking to the overview that includes a panoramic view of the Mississippi River Valley. It’s a one-and-a-half-mile walk with a gradual climb.

A Farmers Market will begin at 9 a.m. in Sugar Creek Park, offering a variety of products plus free coffee while it lasts. Transportation between Sugar Creek Park and the Ferryville Community Center for the Tractor Pull will be by tractor and wagon.

At 11 a.m., the 15th annual Antique Tractor Pull hosted and organized by the Ferryville Antique Tractor Association begins at the Ferryville Community Center. Rain date is set for Sunday, July 24. Register for the Antique Tractor Pull at www.ferryvilletractor.com.

A variety of food and raffle items will be available. All proceeds from the raffle will be used for improvements to Sugar Creek Park.

Fireworks will begin at dusk. They will be shot from a barge off the river bank.
