The Kee girls basketball team earned a split of its games played this past week - both in Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) play, snapping what had turned into a month-long, six-game non-winning streak with a two-point triumph to wrap up the week. The Lady Hawks opened last week’s effort with a 72-32 road loss at North Fayette Valley Tuesday, January 17 before bouncing back with a 34-32 triumph at home over Clayton Ridge Friday, January 20 in a close battle from start to finish to snap that six-game slide that began prior to the holiday break.

Holding a 3-11 season record that includes a 3-8 mark in Upper Iowa Conference play, the Lady Hawks were next scheduled to continue their Upper Iowa Conference schedule, playing at South Winneshiek Tuesday, January 24 before hosting Postville Friday, January 27. They will then play back-to-back nights the following week, hosting South Winneshiek Monday, January 30 to make up a December 15 postponement and then traveling to West Central Tuesday, January 31 before wrapping up their Upper Iowa Conference schedule with another make-up game postponed from November 29 when they travel to Class 1A eighth-rated Central Elkader February 2.
