Kee girls basketball team splits Upper Iowa Conference pair, including 37-25 defeat at Turkey Valley and 52-47 home victory over Postville

The Kee girls basketball team recorded a split of its two games played this past week, both of those taking place in Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) play against teams sharing the latter half of the UIC standings with the Hawks. The Lady Hawks first fell at South Winneshiek Tuesday, January 24 by a 37-25 result before completing their regular season sweep of Postville by pulling out a 52-47 win at home Friday, January 27.

Holding a 4-12 season record that includes a 4-9 mark in Upper Iowa Conference play, the Lady Hawks were next scheduled to wrap up their regular season schedule, starting with back-to-back nights of hosting South Winneshiek Monday, January 30 to make up a December 15 postponement and then traveling to West Central Tuesday, January 31. The Kee girls will then wrap up their Upper Iowa Conference schedule with another make-up game postponed from November 29 when they travel to Class 1A seventh-rated Central Elkader Thursday, February 2 before being scheduled to make up a January 3 postponement with a Monday, February 6 hosting of Waukon and then preparing for postseason tournament play slated to begin February 9 but yet to be determined.
