Four-year-old Ellsy Koenig of Waukon and her aunt, 20-year-old Thea Meyer of Waukon, each recently donated eight inches of their hair to the Children With Hair Loss non-profit organization, which provides human hair replacements at no cost to children and young adults facing medically-related hair loss with a mission of “Covering young heads to heal young hearts.” More information about the organization can be found online at www.childrenwithhairloss.us. This is Thea’s second such donation to the organization, and she had her hair cut by Kristen Fuelling at Signature Styles by Kristen in Monona. Clint Zezulka and Darrian Szajna of Decorah announce the birth of their daughter, Aubrey Zezulka, born March 9, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 7 ozs. and measured 19 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Grandparents are Danny and Jamie Isaacson of Cresco and Arnold and Shirley Zezulka of Dorchester. Great-grandparents are Ron and Terri Edman of Oconomowoc, WI.

Michael Kalish and Chrissy Romine of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Eli Michael Kalish, born March 15, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Makenzie (10), Ben (8) and Brayden (4).

Grandparents are Sherry Sprosty of Farmersburg, Steve Onsager and Diana Kalish of Waukon and Ron and Bridget Kalish of Prairie du Chien, WI. Great-grandparents are Lee and Letha Folsom of Waukon and Ronny and Carol Kalish of Prairie du Chien, WI.
 

Cory and Stacy Miner of Postville announce the birth of their daughter, Karsyn JoLynn Miner, born March 21, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 9 lbs. 7 ozs. and measured 20-3/4 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins sisters, Regan (3) and Dylan (16 months).

Grandparents are Dick and Cindy Berns of Postville and Guy and Sheryl Miner of Castalia. Great-grandparents are Keith and Verta Kerr of Postville and Barb Ungerer of Hawkeye.

James E. Caston and Abigail E. Caston of Postville announce the birth of their daughter, Arabella Marie Caston, born March 20, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 7 lbs. 3 ozs. and measured 22-1/4 inches in length at the time of her birth.

Grandparents are Eric and Karla Johnson, Kevin and Lori Pritchard and Earl Caston.

Brian and Samantha Creasman of Lansing announce the birth of their son, Emsley Mar Mankato Creasman, born March 20, 2017 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 7 lbs. 9 ozs. and measured 22-1/4 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Nayelly (3).

Grandparents are Juan and Rebecca Rosas of Lansing and Diane Whitner of McGregor. Great-grandparents are Arden and Barb Sprain of La Crosse, WI.
 

The Waukon High School Class of 1961 will meet this Friday, March 24 at 11:30 a.m. at Gus & Tony’s in Waukon for lunch and social time. All classmates are invited.

Arlene (Brincks) Lansing of Waukon, previously of Castalia and Ossian, will be celebrating her 80th birthday with a luncheon. Friends and relatives are invited to her birthday celebration Sunday, March 26 from 12:30-3 p.m. at the Community Room in the Farmers & Merchants Savings Bank, 201 West Main Street in Waukon.

Seth and Brittney Clarke of North Liberty announce the birth of their son, Elon Ralph Clarke, born March 1, 2017 in Cedar Rapids. He weighed 7 lbs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, Ida (2).
