Dan Mohn of Lansing and Melissa Ghelf of De Soto, WI were married April 16, 2016 at Wexford Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, rural Lansing.

The bride’s parents are Kirk and Mary Ghelf of De Soto, WI. She is employed by Gundersen Health System.

The groom’s parents are Roger and Mary Jo Mohn of Lansing. He is employed by USDA-NRCS. The couple resides in Lansing.
 

Alf Thorson Odegaard will be celebrating his 100th birthday with an open house and lunch Sunday, June 19, 2016. The event will take place from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the Old East Paint Creek Church Fellowship Hall in Waterville.

William Mack and Keisha Walters of West Union announce the birth of their daughter, Annabelle Rose Mack, born June 8, 2016 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. She weighed 6 lbs. 8 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of her birth. She joins siblings, Kala (9), Alexander (9), Hunter (6), Quintin (2) and Rylan (3).
Grandparents include Kim Walters of Monona.

Joe and Marcia Sczublewski of Albert Lea, MN, Mark and Cathy Lunde of Owatonna, MN, and Dan and Sharon Cunningham of Waukon announce the engagement of their children, Laura Lunde and Colby Cunningham. A June 18, 2016 wedding is planned in Albert Lea, MN.

The bride is the granddaughter of Mary Ann Martinson and the late Orin Martinson of Albert Lea, MN, the late David and Rachel Lunde of Hayward, MN, and the late Jerome and Helen Sczublewski of Sobieski. MN.

She is a 2000 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Minnesota, where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication. She is employed as a branch manager at Manpower Group.

The groom is the grandson of Delores and the late Raymond Paus, and the late Leo and Lavon Cunningham, all of Waukon.

Dr. Ken and Sharon (Stueland) Olson of Waukon will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary with friends, and will also celebrate with family in July. They were married June 11, 1966 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Clarkfield, MN.

They are the parents of Lori (Micah) Morris and Brett Olson, and grandparents of Josephine and Katerina Morris.

Darrel and Janet Koozer of Harpers Ferry will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married in Waukegan, IL June 21, 1956. At that time, Darrel was serving in the military and Janet was a telephone operator. Their family includes five children, 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Jeff and Bev Meyer of rural Calmar will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary June 22. Jeff Meyer and Bev Kruger were married at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Waukon.

Their family includes Justin and his fiancée, Kenzie, of St. Lucas; Sarah, who attends college in Dubuque; and Michael, Caleb and Luke, who reside at the family home.

Mark and Jessie Corwin of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Tye Robert Corwin, born May 13, 2016 at Winneshiek Medical Center in Decorah. He weighed 8 lbs. 13 ozs. and measured 21 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins siblings, Halea (9) and Chloe (2-1/2).

Grandparents are George and Laure Manning of Lansing and Larry and Dixie Corwin of Lansing. Great-grandmother is Margaret Ferring of Lansing.

Paul and Danielle Bakewell of Waukon announce the birth of their son, Cooper James Bakewell, born May 23, 2016 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a big sister, Ella (2).

Grandparents are Jim and Joyce Bakewell of Ossian and Les and JoAnn Lang of Monona. Great-grandparents are Joan Schissel of Ossian and Mercedes Lang of Wauzeka, WI.
