Brian and Amanda Streeper of Waterville announce the birth of their son, Sutton James Streeper, April 10, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs., 6 ozs. and measured 21-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins two siblings, August (4) and Ivy (1).
Grandparents are Nick and LuAnn Rolling of Waterville and Doug and Nancy Streeper of Solon. Great-grandparents are Alice Rolling of Fort Dodge, Lloyd Schutte of Waukon, Kenneth and Marilyn Streeper of Monticello and Mary Hasler of Monticello.

Arael Beardmore of Dorchester and Zachery Decker of Waukon annouce their engagement and upcoming wedding. They plan to exchange vows June 6 outside the Eitzen Community Center in Eitzen, MN. A reception will be held following the ceremony.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Jeff and Robin Kessel of Sayre, OK. She is a graduate of Waukon Senior High School and Northeast Iowa Community College in Calmar. She is currently a stay-at-home mother of two children.
The groom-elect is the son of Steve and Paula Decker of Harpers Ferry. He is a graduate of Waukon Senior High School and is currently employed at Bushman Trucking.

Dave and Diana Moritz of Lansing were married May 1, 1965. A celebration in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary will be held Saturday, May 2 at TJ’s Banquet Center in Lansing from 3-7 p.m.

The family of Mary Brandt will host an open house in honor of her 90th birthday Saturday, April 25 from 1-4 p.m. at Farmers and Merchants Savings Bank in Waukon. Everyone is welcome. She requests no gifts.

Waukon High School’s Class of 1961 will meet Wednesday, April 29 at Mulligan’s in Waukon at 11:30 a.m.

Mike and Jenny McNamara of Postville announce the birth of their son, Marshall James McNamara, April 6, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 8 lbs., 12.6 ozs. and measured 22 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins three siblings, Madilyn (7), Hayley (4) and Vincent (1).
Grandparents are Rob and Shannon Lloyd of Harpers Ferry and Pat and Kathy McNamara of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Lois Greif of Coggon, Lois McNamara of Anamosa, Erlyss Reckard of Monona and Ernie and Pat Burroughs of Waukon.

Chad and Tess Hawes of Harpers Ferry announce the birth of their son, Cooper Allan Hawes, April 3, 2015 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. He weighed 6 lbs., 15 ozs. and measured 20 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins a sister, McKenna (1).
Grandparents are Jay Rethwisch of Lansing, Kathy Sanderson of Harpers Ferry and Ed and Mary Hawes of Waukon. Great-grandparents are Allan and Ann Sanderson of Oelwein, Peter Rethwisch of Lansing and Jim and Kay Hawes of Harpers Ferry.

Michelle and John Buetow of New Prague, MN announce the birth of their son, Cooper Steven Buetow, December 28, 2014 at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. He weighed 7 lbs., 13 ozs. and measured 20-1/2 inches in length at the time of his birth. He joins two siblings, Colin (7) and Claire (5).
Grandparents are Steve and Chris Weymiller of Harpers Ferry and Bob and Judy Buetow of Apple Valley, MN. Great-grandparents are Ralph and Joann Welch of Waukon and Franklin (Doc) and Jean Ann Weymiller of Harpers Ferry.

A open house celebration will be held in honor of Mildred Lyons’ 90th birthday Sunday, April 19 from 1:30-3:30 p.m. at Silver Springs Golf & Country Club, located at 1392 Co. Rd. W42, Ossian. The event will be hosted by her 11 children and their extended families.
