Waukon girls cross country team competes at South Winneshiek

The Waukon girls cross country team competed as a team in one high school race at the South Winneshiek Invitational Tuesday, October 7, finishing seventh in the seven-team field. The Indians had nine high school runners competing in the race, but were without the services of their consistent number-five scoring runner, sophomore Katelynn Griffith, in totaling 168 team points.
The Indians were scheduled to compete in the Northeast Iowa Conference Meet Tuesday, October 14 being hosted by Decorah this year. The Tribe will then take part in its Class 2A State Qualifying Meet that has been scheduled for Thursday, October 23.
