Waukon girls track team sprints to third-place team finish at North Fayette Valley Invitational

The Waukon girls track team competed in just one meet this past week, as the Tuesday, April 21 Crestwood Invitational was canceled due to cold, wet weather. The Indian lady tracksters were able to compete at the North Fayette Valley Invitational Thursday, April 23, claiming either gold or silver in nearly every event that involved 400 meters or less to rack up 113 team points and finish third in the final 11-team standings.The Indian track girls were scheduled to host their own Indian Relays Tuesday, April 28 before taking part in the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 30. The track Tribe will then compete at Waverly-Shell Rock Tuesday, May 5 before participating in the Northeast Iowa Conference Meet Thursday, May 7 at Oelwein.
