The Waukon boys cross country team got its busiest stretch of the season underway this past week with some book-end lowest and highest team finishes so far this season, competing in the first two of what will be three meets within a week’s time. The Indians finished seventh overall out of 18 scoring teams at the uniquely-scored Dick Pollitt Go-Hawk Classic hosted by Waverly-Shell Rock Tuesday, September 8, before edging out a team victory in the 10-team field at the TigerHawk Invitational hosted by North Fayette Valley Saturday, September 12.
The Indians were scheduled to compete at the Starmont Invitational Tuesday, September 15 and will then prepare to host their own Waukon Invitational the following Tuesday, September 22.
