You can slow down the rate of Autism

To the Editor:

April is Autism Awareness Month and Autism is the fastest growing epidemic in the United States. Autism rates have grown faster than scientists can keep up, let alone solve. This crisis is affecting youth today as well as the future generations; however, you can slow down this epidemic.

Most people assume that nothing simple can be done to help with this. However, the answer is right in front of most people, but let us first look at statistical facts.

Autism rates in 2004 were reported as either 1 in 166 children, or worse, 1 in 150 children, depending on what studies you read. Taking these findings and applying this to the 2010 U.S. Census population data for the city of Waukon, 26 people would have Autism within the city’s population. However, 11 years later, statistics printed in an article from The Washington Post stated that Autism cases in the U.S. jumped to 1 in 45. This would now add an additional 61 more cases. That is a 350% increase in Autism cases in a decade for Waukon.

These increases are supposedly baffling scientists. In 2002, Sandra Blakeslee posted an article that stated a California study prompted a 1999 report from the state’s Department of Developmental Services which showed that in 1987 reported 2,778 cases, but in 1998 it was 10,360. That is a 273% increase of cases in just a decade and yet in four years it increased 180% to 18,460 in July 2002. In fifteen years this is a 671% increase. Imagine if Waukon experienced a 671% increase, 2004’s number of 26 would in 2019 become 175 people, or 4.5% of Waukon’s population. This cannot be attributed to genetics alone.

New research has shown that “fathers are passing 80% of mutation leading to Autism. An environmental toxin affecting men’s reproductive DNA was introduced around 1995, causing Autism to spike in children.”

An environmental toxin is wireless radiation from all forms of wireless technology. This wireless radiation has already been proven to create male infertility as well as DNA damage in sperm cells by numerous scientific research documents. In fact, one study stated that with the current autism rate, “United States fathers are causing over 36,000 new cases of autism each year.”

If people want to slow down the autism epidemic, it involves getting rid of your unsafe wireless devices. Parents today, especially future parents, spend more time watching the football game or making sure they have five in a row than making sure something is safe. They would much rather live with the technology that destroys human life than to stand up against this unsafe technological advancement at the cost of your children, especially the cost to parents who have to support an autistic child.

The average cost to support an autistic child is $60,000 per year per family. This epidemic costs autistic families, insurance companies, research, housing, transportation, etc. $90 billion to care for those with Autism nationwide each year.

Just because it didn’t happen to you right now, doesn’t mean that you have not or will not be destroying the life of your children. Numerous studies have proven how wireless devices destroy the health of children, and the decision to keep your technological convenience could and will someday cost you in the end.

Fathers should especially take this advice: those who don’t put radiation near the ingredients that make a child can potentially reduce the autism spectrum disorders by about 60%, which in return makes a huge difference for your family. You can greatly improve and slow down this epidemic just by getting rid of wireless technology and installing wired technology instead.
