The Kee baseball team had its undefeated Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) season brought to an end but won three of its battles during a five-game slate this past week. The Hawks opened the week remaining undefeated in UIC play with victories of 7-1 and 9-1 over MFL/MarMac Monday, June 13 before being paid back at Clayton Ridge Wednesday, June 15 for a pair of one-run victories earlier in the season with a 5-4 loss for Kee’s only UIC blemish so far this season. The Hawks then hosted Central City Saturday, June 18 in a non-conference doubleheader, splitting that twinbill with a 7-2 victory being paired up with a 12-5 loss to the visiting Wildcats.

Playing to a 15-8 overall record and holding a 10-1 mark in Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) play, the Hawks were slated to hit the road to play at Postville Monday, June 20, at Turkey Valley Thursday, June 23, at Coon Rapids-Bayard Friday, June 24 and in a tournament at Glidden-Ralston Saturday, June 25.
