Veterans Memorial Hospital still offering FREE Fun Run/Walk route and prizes

Due to the inclement weather for the recent Veterans Memorial Hospital Free 5k Run/Walk, the hospital would like to invite the public to still complete the 5K anytime over the next few weeks. Participants are asked to stop by the front entrance of the hospital to pick up a 5K map and goodie bag, as well as a pair of complimentary reflective wristbands. They can then follow the orange painted arrows on the streets marking this 5K, 3.1-mile, course. The start and finish lines are located at the southeast corner of the hospital campus. Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon sponsored its 23rd annual 5K Cardiac Classic Run/Walk Saturday, August 20 in conjunction with the Waukon Corn Days celebration. Despite the rainy weather, the event was considered a success with over 70 runners and walkers participating.

Due to the inclement weather that day, the hospital would like to invite the public to still complete the 5K run/walk anytime during the next few weeks. Just stop by the reception desk at the front entrance of the hospital any day between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. to pick up a 5K map and goodie bag, as well as a pair of complimentary reflective wristbands. Then follow the orange painted arrows on the streets marking this 5K, or 3.1 mile, course. The start and finish lines are located at the southeast corner of the hospital campus.
