The Kee boys basketball team was locked in a fairly close battle with its fellow river town hoop troop from across the mighty Mississippi when the Hawks hosted De Soto, WI Monday, December 19. The Hawks trailed by just a 30-28 halftime tally in the contest, and just a 43-38 result after three frames, but scored just five fourth-quarter points in suffering the 55-43 defeat.

Now holding a 1-6 overall record, 1-4 in Upper Iowa Conference play, the Hawks will return to action after the holiday break. That return will include a Monday, January 2 home bout with South Winneshiek rescheduled from Friday, December 16 due to winter weather. The Hawks will then host Clayton Ridge Friday, January 6 before playing at Edgewood-Colesburg Tuesday, January 10 and returning home to host MFL/MarMac Friday, January 13.
