Kee boys basketball team free throws its way to its first win of the season in split of Upper Iowa Conference home pair with Turkey Valley and Central

The Kee boys basketball team secured its first win of the 2018-2019 season, using the free throw line and an overtime period to do so in earning a split of its two games this past week. The Hawks first fell hard at home, 65-22, to Turkey Valley Tuesday, December 11 before getting to the free throw line 41 times to help pull out a 66-61 home triumph in overtime over Central Elkader Friday, December 14.

The Hawks were next scheduled to wrap up the 2018 portion of their schedule with a pair of road games, playing at North Fayette Valley Tuesday, December 18 and then at MFL/MarMac Friday, December 21 prior to the holiday break. The Kee boys will then return to the court following the holidays for a Friday, January 4 road date at West Central.
