Waukon girls track team places third at own Indian Relays home invitational, finishes fourth at MFL/MarMac Invitational

Snitker led off the Indians’ 4x400 relay that finished first in a time of 4:22.96, teaming up with senior Lauren Griffith, sophomore Regan Griffith and junior Ellec Armstead for that lone Indian victory on the track. The Waukon girls track team completed a full slate of competition this past week, finishing in the top half of the two meets it competed in. The Lady Indians finished third in their six-team Indian Relays home invitational Tuesday, April 23 before placing fourth in the 10-team field of the MFL/MarMac Invitational Thursday, April 25.

The track Tribe was next scheduled to wrap up its regular season schedule at the Edgewood-Colesburg Invitational Monday, April 29 before competing in the Northeast Iowa Conference Meet Thursday, May 2 at Crestwood. The Indian girls will then compete in their Class 2A State Qualifying Meet at Monticello Thursday, May 9, details of which appear elsewhere on the same Sports pages in a shaded box in the May 1, 2019 print and e-edition of The Standard.
