FreedomBank hosting “Supplies for Success” Back-to-School Drive
Over 90% of teachers spend their own money on school supplies and other items their students need to succeed in the classroom. FreedomBank invites the communities it serves to donate tools and materials to support local teachers in the Central Elkader, MFL/MarMac, Postville, Allamakee and St. Patrick Catholic (Waukon) school districts as they prepare for the upcoming academic year.
A donation of school supplies will provide students with the necessary tools to excel throughout the school year while alleviating some of the financial burdens on teachers who often spend their own money on supplies. FreedomBank has been working closely with teachers in its market area to identify the specific items they need for the 2023-2024 school year.
Below is a general list of supplies requested by local teachers. Links to more specific lists for teachers and/or schools in the local area can be found on the FreedomBank website at https://www.freedombnk.com/Pages/back-to-school-drive-2023.html. Donated items are being accepted at all
FreedomBank locations prior to August 18. Donations may be dropped off at the following FreedomBank locations:
• Allamakee Community School District and St. Patrick Catholic School (Waukon) supplies can be dropped off at FreedomBank at 201 West Main Street in Waukon, Phone: 563-568-3417;
• Postville Community School District supplies can be dropped off at FreedomBank at 135 West Tilden Street in Postville, Phone: 563-864-7441;
• Central Community School District supplies can be dropped off at FreedomBank at 210 South Main Street in Elkader, Phone: 563-245-2522;
• MFL/MarMac Community School District supplies can be dropped off at FreedomBank at 106 South Main Street in Monona, Phone: 563-539-2015.
