As April, Public Heath Month, comes to a close, Veterans Memorial Hospital (VMH) Community and Home Care/Allamakee County Public Health announces the release of a 50-page resource directory for all services in Allamakee County. The guide is available on the Veterans Memorial Hospital website, under the www.veteransmemorialhospital.com/service/community-and-home-care/ link, and also on the Allamakee County Economic Development website.
This guide contains information on many resources serving Allamakee County residents such as housing, mental health care, unemployment, addiction, finances, health care, long-term care, veterans services, grocery shopping, reporting of crimes and support for other concerns. Veterans Memorial Hospital Community and Home Care/Allamakee County Public Health credits Maria Stahl, RN with the research and design of this resource guide during a recent internship in Public Health through Viterbo University’s Masters in Nursing Program. This directory does come with an index for quick reference of the topic being researched. Information does change quickly and updates are made to this directory regularly.
