Schildroth, Murphy to wed

Kari Schildroth of La Porte City and Lance Murphy of Waukon announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. They plan to exchange vows November 1, 2014 at Hickory Hills State Park in La Porte City. The couple will reside together in North Liberty.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Ed and Wanda McFarland of La Porte City and the late John Schildroth. She is a 2011 graduate of Allen College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and is currently employed as a labor and delivery postpartum nurse at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City.
The groom-elect is the son of Brian and Sue Murphy of Waukon. He is a graduate of Kirkwood Community College with a degree in Architectural Technology and is currently employed as an assistant architect at Novak Design Group, PLC in Cedar Rapids.

Bethany Hammel of Dorchester and Eric Dunbar of East Dubuque, IL announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. They plan to exchange vows September 27 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hanover in rural Waukon. A reception and dance will be held following the ceremony at the Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon.
The bride-elect is the daughter of David and Karla Hammel of Dorchester. She attended Waukon Senior High School and graduated from Loras College in 2009 with a degree in Criminal Justice. She is currently studying nursing at Northeast Iowa Community College in Peosta and is employed by Stonehill Franciscan Services in Dubuque.
The groom-elect is the son of Rhonda and the late Jack Dunbar of East Dubuque, IL. He attended East Dubuque High School and is now the owner of Dunbar Enterprises.

Thomas, Stone to wed Sept. 27

Emily Thomas and Brandon Stone, both of Marion, announce their engagement and upcoming wedding. They plan to exchange vows September 27 in Dubuque.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Stan and Carla Thomas of Dubuque. She is a 2005 graduate of Dubuque Hempstead High School and a 2009 graduate of Coe College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree. She earned a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Iowa in 2011 and is currently employed as a physical therapist at Virginia Gay Hospital in Vinton.
The groom-elect is the son of Tim and Wendy Stone of Waukon. He is a 2005 graduate of Kee High School in Lansing and a 2010 graduate of Mount Mercy University with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. He is currently employed as a Linn County Sheriff’s Deputy.
The couple plans to honeymoon in St. Lucia in November.
