Cayla Nolting of Waukon competing in video contest for diabetes awareness

Cayla Nolting, nine-year-old daughter of Chad and Cheryl Nolting of Waukon, has entered a video in the Lenny the Lion Video Contest sponsored by Medtronic Minimed, and her video is one of 20 finalists from across the nation selected to compete for the contest's grand prize.
Cayla was diagnosed with diabetes at age three, and has been on an insulin pump since age five. Medtronic is a manufacturer of insulin pumps and other products used in diabetes treatment.
The contest videos are posted on YouTube, and the public is invited to view the videos and cast a vote for their favorite. The video with the most votes wins a trip to Disneyland in California and $1,000 in gift certificates. Gift certificate prizes are also awarded for second- and third-place videos in amounts of $750 and $500, respectively.
Instructions on how to view and vote for Cayla's video, entitled "Diabetes Doesn't Stop Me", are listed below:

• Those who do not have a YouTube account will have to create an account to vote and can do so by following these instructions:
1. Go to www.youtube.com and create an account. The link that says ‘Create account’ can be found on the top right hand corner of the home page.
2. After the account is verified via email, either go to the video by clicking http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12e6Y7OGnno  or going to the search box at the  top of youtube.com and typing in ‘LennyDiabetes1’. If conducting a search, then scroll down to find the video “Cayla’s Video:  Diabetes Doesn’t Stop Me!”
• When viewing the video, there is a ‘thumbs up’ symbol under the video.  Click on that to vote! (Do not double click).
Contest voting ends Friday, April 30 and the winners will be announced Wednesday, May 5.
