Clean-Up Day in Waukon rescheduled to this Saturday

Due to cold, wet conditions, the Clean-Up Day originally scheduled for this past Saturday, May 8 in the Waukon area has been rescheduled to this Saturday, May 15. Volunteers are still being asked to help take part in the event in an effort to clean up and maintain the community.
Interested participants are asked to meet at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 15 at the Allamakee County Courthouse in Waukon, and groups will then be dispersed to do some roadside clean-up, garbage pick-up through town, and also some painting of shelters/structures at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds.
Those participating are asked to bring with them garbage bags, a pair of work gloves, and a paint brush if interested in painting. Questions can be answered by calling Steve or Stefanie Perkins at 563-568-4114.
