Get involved with "Keep Waukon Beautiful Day" scheduled for May 12

The third annual "Keep Waukon Beautiful Day" has been scheduled for Saturday, May 12 in the Waukon area, and volunteers are being sought to help take part in the event in an effort to clean up and maintain the appearance of the community. The inaugural event was held two years ago, and more volunteers are being sought this year.
Interested participants are asked to meet at 8 a.m. Saturday, May 12 at the front entrance of Waukon City Park, and groups will then be dispersed to do some roadside clean-up and garbage pick-up through downtown Waukon and the City Park.
Those participating are asked to bring with them garbage bags and work gloves. Raindate for the event has been set for Saturday, June 9, again beginning at 8 a.m.
