Gunshot injures young male in rural Lansing

The Allamakee County Sheriff's Office reports receiving notification Sunday, March 31, at approximately 4:18 a.m., that a male victim of a gunshot wound had arrived by private vehicle at the emergency room of Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon.
The victim, Logan James Bunn, age 27, of Fairbank, was visiting a residence located at 2104 Century Drive, rural Lansing at the time of the incident. Reports indicate that Bunn had fired a gun at a tree, which caused the bullet to ricochet and strike Bunn. He was transferred from the hospital in Waukon to Gundersen-Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI for further treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
No foul play is suspected. The incident remains under investigation by the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office. Assisting in the investigation was the Waukon Police Department.
