I-Ride slated to help resident dreams become reality

The third annual I-Ride scheduled for Saturday, July 16 offers motorcycle enthusiasts an opportunity to trek across northeast Iowa and western Wisconsin while raising money for Good Samaritan Society - Waukon, Postville, and West Union. This year’s event has a new twist, as the ride proceeds will go toward the bucket list wishes of residents: aspirations and dreams that residents might not otherwise have the opportunity to do. From taking a ride in a convertible to going fishing on the Mississippi River, the I-Ride entry fees, sponsorships and donations will make a difference in fulfilling the dreams of residents.
Registration begins at 9 a.m. at Good Samaritan Society-Waukon, and this year’s route weaves through some of the most scenic parts of Iowa, winding through valleys and bluffs and crossing the Mississippi River twice. The 162-mile trek includes stops at Waukon Harley-Davidson for lunch, as well as visits to Waukon, Postville and West Union campuses of Good Samaritan Society - a highlight for all as the residents line the street to cheer on the riders. The community is invited to attend a barbecue and concert by The Memory Brothers at the end of the ride, approximately 4:30 p.m., in West Union.
