"Keep Waukon Beautiful" Day goes a long way toward doing that

A variety of volunteers rolled up their sleeves and pitched in to do exactly what this past Saturday, May 12 was designated as, "Keep Waukon Beautiful" Day. Volunteers, some of which are pictured in the photos at right, took care of such tasks as landscaping projects in Indian Springs Memory Garden at Waukon City Park, pulling weeds and picking up trash throughout the downtown Waukon area, traversing some of the outlying highways that access Waukon to pick up garbage found in roadside ditches, and cleaning up around the Allamakee County Fairgrounds, school buildings and Waukon Wellness Center areas.
