Listening Post held by Wilhelm, Hager well attended

State Senator Mary Jo Wilhelm and State Representative Bob Hager enjoyed a large turn-out at their first “listening post” meeting of this legislative session in Waukon Saturday, February 5 at Gus and Tony’s Pizza and Steakhouse. Topics of discussion included funding for preschool and education, the proposal to require photo identification for voting, conservation and Governor Terry Branstad’s proposed budget. Senator Wilhelm said that, due to the large turn out, she will look into holding the next monthly listening post in the Community Room at Farmers and Merchants Savings Bank in Waukon.
