Living Stone hosts second "Girls 2 B Girls Adventure Camp"

The Living Stone held its second "Girls 2 B Girls Adventure Camp" August 5 and 6 at Upper Iowa Resort and Rental near Dorchester. 31 girls were in attendance for this overnight camp, coming from Waukon, Lansing, New Albin, Postville, Decorah, Castalia, and two from Texas. They enjoyed swimming, tubing, s'mores around a bonfire, stories, movies under the ‘big tent,' crafts and fun. As one of the first-time campers shared, “This was awesome!” The event was organized by Living Stone Director Kristi Hager and made possible by high-school volunteers Amber Schutte, Aubre McQuade, Zyann Hooper, Jessica Sholes, Tess Jarmes, Linzie Sebastian, Sarah Schnuelle, Ashley Pearson, Chloe Hughes and Tiana Kubitz. Sidney McQuade and Ashley Pearson summed the camp up with these words: "You see, we are all different in many ways, whether it's by an accent or their personalities. We are all our own kind of princess. We go through tough and easy times, but just remember, everyone has their own story." Submitted photo.
