Pair of "Talking Matters" sessions in April focus on underage drinking

The Substance Free Allamakee group organized through Helping Services for Northeast Iowa will be hosting a pair of "Talking Matters" sessions focused on the idea that "conversations with youth can stop underage drinking". The first of those sessions is scheduled for Monday, April 4 from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the New Albin Community Center, with another session planned for Thursday, April 14 from 6-8 p.m. at the Farmers and Merchants Savings Bank Community Room in Waukon.
The event is open to everyone and will involve a community ice cream social and discussion on such topics as "What are Iowa's alcohol laws?", "Is drinking underage that big of a deal?", "Does alcohol use affect my car insurance?", "My drinking only affects me, nobody else", and "What can I do?", along with other topics of interest.
