Rep. Patti Ruff to host Education Listening Post in Waukon this Saturday

District 56 State Representative Patti Ruff of McGregor is hosting an education listening post in Waukon this Saturday, February 2 to gather input from parents, educators and students on school funding and proposed education reforms. The session will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at the Senior Center in the Waukon Wellness Center located at 1220 Third Avenue NW on the west edge of Waukon. Parking is available on the north and south sides of the building.
“As a former school board member, I know how important education is to our community. As the Legislature considers significant changes in education, I want to hear from educators and parents about the impact on our local schools before any reform bill makes it to the House Floor,” said Ruff, who served as President of the MFL/MarMac School Board before serving in the Iowa House.
