Vet's Hall "Elvis" event to benefit Relief Office

A benefit event planned for this Saturday, December 4 at the Vet’s Hall in Waukon will benefit the Allamakee County Relief Office. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. with an “Elvis” performance, with all the admission proceeds being donated to the Allamakee County Relief Office to help needy families with such things as food baskets for the holidays, as well as to purchase boots and winter clothing for children, in addition to other needs that may arise.
In addition to the admission proceeds, attendees can also bring a new toy to donate to children. The Relief Office currently has 200 needy children on its growing Christmas list. For more information on the event, see the advertisement in the Entertainment section on Page 5A in this issue.
