Waukon Chamber to kick off "Music on Main" series with June 13 performance

The Waukon Chamber of Commerce will kick off its Music on Main concert series Monday, June 13 at 6 p.m.
Michael Thoma of Waterloo will perform in the Visitor Center and Area Development office courtyard at 101 West Main Street in Waukon. He has been billed as “a skilled balladeer and catchy rock composer... Mike’s earnest lyrics and carefully crafted melodies are inspired by his upbringing on a farm in rural Iowa and the travels and wisdom that can only come with age.”
Thoma’s performance is the first in a three-part summer music series. The second performance (entertainment to be announced) will take place Monday, July 11. Waukon’s Michelle Lynn will finish the series Monday, August 8.
Seating is limited, so attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair. The Chamber will begin serving food at 5:30 p.m. each of these three "Music on Main" Mondays. Hot dogs will be for sale for 50 cents each, in addition to chips and soda, each for 25 cents.
“Bring the whole family to enjoy a free evening of entertainment downtown,” said Chamber Director Lissa Blake. For more information, contact Blake at 563-568-4110.
