Waukon Dental and associated area offices hosting "Have a Heart" Day

The doctors and staff of Waukon Dental, Dental Associates of Decorah, P.C., Family Dentistry Associates of Monona, and Dental Associates of Prairie du Chien (celebrating 18 years) will be hosting their “Have a Heart” day again this year. Area residents are encouraged to participate in the annual “Have a Heart” day scheduled by area health care providers Saturday, February 11.
This event is scheduled during the Valentine’s season as a community service project to provide services to those in need. The local healthcare providers appreciate the strong support they receive, so in turn the doctors and staff look forward to this event each year. Since the event started in 1991, it has grown to include several towns and businesses. The community effort is a source of pride for doctors and the surrounding area residents.
Doctors and staff are busy preparing for their version of “Have a Heart” day, which will be held Saturday, February 11. Children ages four through 18 seeking appointments could receive a complete dental examination, consultation, necessary x-rays, sealants, emergency dental care or a needed filling at no charge.
The goal is to provide services to any interested parties who have not sought recent dental care for whatever reason. Interested individuals are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity or alert others they may know who could benefit.
Unlike many free healthcare days, no financial proof of need is required. Although no one is excluded from the day, the goal of the event is to reach those area residents in need that have no other financial support.
