Waukon Dental making plans for 21st Annual "Have a Heart Day"

The doctors and staff of Waukon Dental, Family Dentistry Associates of Monona, Dental Associates of Decorah and Dental Associates of Prairie du Chien announce that they will be holding “Have a Heart” day again this year. Area residents are encouraged to participate in the annual “Have a Heart” day scheduled by area health care providers Saturday, February 12.
This event is scheduled during the Valentine’s season as a community service project to provide services to those in need. The local healthcare providers appreciate the strong support they receive, so in turn look forward to this event each year.
Since the event started in 1991, it has grown to include several towns and businesses. The community effort is a source of pride for healthcare providers and the surrounding area residents.
Children ages four through 18 seeking appointments could receive a complete dental examination, consultation, necessary x-rays, sealants, emergency dental care or a needed filling at no charge. The goal is to provide services to any interested parties who have not sought recent dental care for whatever reason.
No financial proof of need is required. Although no one is excluded from the day, it is hoped to reach those area residents in need that have no other financial support. The dental office provides a festive environment with a Valentine’s theme.
