Hagen family reunion July 20

Descendants of Gulbrand and Agnete Hagen, who came to Allamakee County from near Lillehammer, Norway in 1845, will gather Sunday, July 20 at “the Hagen Pond” (904 Waterville Road, Waterville). Events will begin with a potluck dinner at 12:30 p.m.
Anyone whose family tree includes any of the following people is welcome to attend:
Martha Hagen, who married Torkel Leikvold;
Peter Hagen, who married Ellen Paulson;
Hannah Hagen, who married John Fossum;
Christena Hagen, who married Otto Sorenson;
Halvor Hagen, who married Lizzie Bredock Osterholtz;
Nicoline Hagen, who married Louis Wellman;
Edward Hagen, who married Mary Salvison;
Otto Hagen, who married Minnie Johnson;
Albert Hagen, who married Karen Lyse;
Melvin Hagen, who married Marguerite Bannerman.
Bring old pictures, memories, handed down fun stories and renew family connections.
Of special interest this year will be a virtual tour of Gulbrand’s four-story barn built in 1875.
In case of rain, the reunion will be held at Old West Paint Creek Lutheran Church on Maud Road.
