For the third consecutive meet, the Waukon boys cross country team placed fourth as a team, trailing just behind some of the area’s top-10 rated teams at the large Starmont Invitational Tuesday, September 16 with 153 team points. That early-season trend, however, has landed the Indians  their own top-10 ranking, as the Iowa Association of Track Coaches has the Tribe distance dandies listed at number 10 in its latest Class 2A rankings.
The Indians were scheduled to host their own Waukon Invitational Tuesday, September 23 and will then be idle until October 4, when they compete at the Crestwood Invitational. The Indians will then have just the South Winneshiek Invitational October 7 before the Northeast Iowa Conference Meet October 14 being held at Decorah this year.
