Waukon football team handed 41-14 Homecoming loss by fourth-rated NFV

The Waukon football team had its Homecoming spoiled by a 41-14 loss to Class 2A fourth-rated North Fayette Valley Friday, September 26. A strong North Fayette Valley ground game proved to wear down the Indian defense, grinding out 293 yards and five of the TigerHawks’ seven touchdowns in the contest, the Indians ultimately being outgained by a final margin of 359-205 in total offense.
Now holding a 1-4 overall record with a 0-2 start to District 3 play, the Indians will take to the road this Friday, October 3, traveling to Waterloo Columbus. The Sailors are winless yet this season in their five games and come off a 42-21 loss at Oelwein this past Friday, September 26.
