Lola Mork

Lola B. Mork, 83, of Postville died Saturday, November 15, 2014 surrounded by her family at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, with Rev. Steve Brackett as the Officiant. Burial will follow the funeral service in Postville Cemetery, Postville.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 18 from 4-7 p.m. at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Postville, with a one hour visitation before the funeral service at the church Wednesday.

Lola was born February 27, 1931 to Larry LeRoy and Bessie Lucile (Segrist) Ewing in Franklin Township of Allamakee County. She was baptized April 4, 1938 by Pastor L.E. Crippen.

Lola graduated from Forest Mills Country School and attended Waukon High School. She was united in marriage to Eugene Theodore Mork May 27, 1950 in Postville. To this union two children were born, Randall and Grant.

Lola worked for the Groth Turkey Plant, Gordanmier Cleaners, served lunch at High Grade, was in Real Estate sales and spent 22 years at the Postville Pharmacy. She enjoyed playing cards, dancing, baking and sewing. Most of all, Lola loved to spend time with her family.

Lola is survived by her husband, Eugene, of Postville; one son, Grant Mork of Postville; three granddaughters, Lacey (Courtney) Ward of Bondurant, Stephanie (Richard) Song of Liberty, MO and Ashley (Christopher) Liem of Smithville, MO; five great-grandchildren, Kohl and Kenadee Schnuelle, Evly and Lulabelle Liem and Selah Song; and one sister, Lavon (Virgil) Martins of Postville.

Lola was preceded in death by her son, Randall Eugene Mork, in 1998 and her parents.
