Webinar offers “Best Practices in Telling the Modern Ag Story” Feb. 25

Northeast Iowa - Silos & Smokestacks National Heritage Area (SSNHA) will be hosting the webinar “Best Practices in Telling the Modern Ag Story” Wednesday, February 25 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. CST as part of a series of winter webinars. Lanny Haldy, Amana Heritage Society; Megan Kregel, Iowa’s Dairy Center; and Linda Perrenoud, Jasper County Historical Society Museum will demonstrate how three very different Heritage Area Partner Sites are connecting with current day agricultural practices in their community. What visitors want to know about just might surprise you - wind energy, robotic dairying and methane gas.
The final webinar of the series is “Silos & Smokestacks General Grant Application,” Wednesday, March 4, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. CST. There is no cost for these webinars, but registration is required. For more information or to register, visit www.silosandsmokestacks.org/partner.
“We are excited to be offering this series of webinars, spanning a variety of relevant topics. Through our technical assistance programs, we have expanded the capability for our Heritage Area partners and communities to tell their own stories,” commented Don Short, SSNHA President.
