Bethany Hammel of Dorchester and Eric Dunbar of East Dubuque, IL were joined in marriage September 27, 2014 at St. Mary’s Hanover Catholic Church, Waukon.
The bride is the daughter of David and Karla Hammel of Dorchester. She attended Waukon Senior High School and is a 2009 graduate of Loras College with a degree in Criminal Justice. She is currently employed as a CMA at Stonehill Care Center in Dubuque.
The groom is the son of Jim Avery and Rhonda Dunbar and the late Jack Dunbar, all of East Dubuque, IL. He attended East Dubuque High School and is now the owner of Dunbar Enterprises.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and was attended by Maid of Honor Christa Hammel, sister of the bride; personal attendant Myriah Groth, friend of the couple; and bridesmaids Leanna Hendrick, sister of the bride, Shelby Preston, sister of the bride, Kendrin Geerdes, friend of the bride, Shelby Neuzil, friend of the bride, and Jenni Brown, friend of the bride. The Flower Girl was Ava Green, daughter of the bride.
The groom’s Best Man was Bryce Hendrick, brother-in-law of the couple. Groomsmen were Alex Dunbar, brother of the groom, Dylan Hammel, brother of the bride, Matt Preston, brother-in-law of the couple, Chris Rupp, friend of the groom, and Doug Voss, friend of the groom. Jason Reimer, friend of the groom, served as the usher.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the Allamakee County Fairgrounds Pavilion in Waukon.
The newlyweds now live in Hazel Green, WI.
