April 4 Bake Sale part of volunteer efforts to support Waukon HS Post Prom

The Waukon High School Post Prom Committee will be holding a bake sale Saturday, April 4 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. (or until gone) at three Waukon locations: Fareway, Quillin’s and Shopko (see advertisement on Page 7A). All proceeds raised by these bakes sales will benefit the Post Prom event April 25 for all students attending the 2015 High School Prom.
The Post Prom event will take place from midnight to 4 a.m. and is offered for all students attending the 2015 Waukon High School Prom. The Post Prom event is planned with the goal of getting as many students as possible to the celebration, keeping them safe following their Prom. Proceeds raised by the bake sale will help with the expenses of the event including games, food, prizes and the hypnotist that will be performing.
Very strong past support from local businesses and civic organizations, as well as parents of the Waukon student body, has resulted in the continued success of providing Prom-goers with a safe alternative for celebrating the annual event.
Donations are currently being accepted to help fund this event. Contributions can be sent to: Waukon Project Prom, P.O. Box 148, Waukon, IA  52172.
