David R. Anderson, age 61, of Stratford, WI, formerly of Waukon, passed peacefully after a hard fight with a recent illness Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield, WI. A celebration of life will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Waukon Friday, April 10, including a visitation at 10 a.m., a Mass at 11 a.m., and a burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Waukon.
Dave was born February 12, 1954 to Ralph and Wanda (Neverman) Anderson. He graduated from Waukon High School in 1972 and has been a longtime over the road truck driver. Dave enjoyed all things in life and would especially recall the "good old days" of playing softball with friends and family on the old "Rocky's" softball team. Dave enjoyed campfires and black and white western movies. Those who knew Dave will miss his kind heart, warm smile and loving friendship.
Dave is survived by his mother, Wanda Anderson; his wife, Linda Anderson; his son, Ben Anderson; his step-children, Jake (Jamie) Kolb, Isaac Kolb and Baylee Kolb; and his grandchildren, Lily Dabbert, Lucy Kolb and Brandy Kolb. He is further survived by four sisters, Joan (Dennis) Dahlstrom, Jean (Wayne) Schulte, Chris (Gary) Rumph and Janet (Tom) Walleser; two brothers, Dan (JoEllen) Anderson and John (Gina) Anderson; and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. Dave was preceded in death by his father, Ralph.
