Waukon girls golf team wraps up 2015 season


Waukon girls golf senior Kelsey Cota eyes this chipping opportunity during the Indians’ fourth-place finish at the Northeast Iowa Conference Tournament hosted by the Tribe lady linksters Monday, May 11. Cota scored a 111 on her final 18 holes of high school competition on her home course and then had her high school golf career brought to a close Monday, May 18 with the Indians’ third-place finish at their Class 3A Regional Tournament at Clermont, where Cota shot a 107. The Waukon girls golf team had its 2015 season brought to a close this past week, playing in what amounted to its final two tournaments of the spring season. The Lady Indians played to a fourth-place team finish in the Northeast Iowa Conference Tournament played on their home course Monday, May 11 before closing out their season with a third-place team finish at their Class 3A Regional First Round Tournament Monday, May 18 at Clermont.
