Scott William Adam was born May 8, 1968 in Waukon. He was adopted and raised by David and Calleen (Hook) Adam, and he was baptized November 30, 1975 and confirmed April 22, 1984 at the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in rural Postville. While in high school, he was active in FFA and 4-H. He graduated from Postville High School in 1987.
He married Angel Kornell in April 1994. They were the parents of Ashley and Colin, and they later divorced. Throughout his life he worked for Crossroads Dairy, Regancrest Dairy, Jeff Byrnes Dairy, Teddy’s Auto Sales in Waukon and Birdnow Chevrolet in Monona.
Scott’s passion was selling cars. He was a "people person" and enjoyed making people smile and laugh. He was a sports fan. His favorite teams were the Iowa Hawkeyes, Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. He was also a Tony Stewart fan. He enjoyed going to auctions and wrestling meets with his wife. He collected beer steins and hats. Above everything else, Scott loved his wife and his children. He was a caring, compassionate person that helped others. Even in this tragedy of losing his own life, he helped others by being an organ donor.
