Kee cross country competes in pair of meets at Starmont and Central Elkader

The Kee cross country team battled through a second consecutive week of two meets, continuing a stretch of what will amount to five meets in two weeks’ time. The Hawks took part in the Starmont Invitational Tuesday, September 15, where the boys placed 26th overall and 13th among Class 1A teams, and then placed sixth in the Central Elkader Invitational Thursday, September 17. Sophomore Nicki Wood is still the lone high school girl competing for Kee, placing in nearly the top one-third of all competitors at both meets.
The Hawks were scheduled to compete at the Waukon Invitational Tuesday, September 22 and will then have a week to prepare for the Tuesday, September 29 Jesup Invitational. Kee will then have just over a week until its next competition scheduled for Thursday, October 8 at New Hampton.
