The Kee volleyball team headed toward the final stretch of its 2015 season with one of its busiest weeks of the season. The Hawks kept up their recent winning ways by extending their Upper Iowa Conference dual match streak to a seventh consecutive victory with sweeps of both West Central, 25-12, 25-9 and 25-21, Tuesday, October 6 and Edgewood-Colesburg, 25-23, 25-18 and 25-19, Thursday, October 8. Kee then suffered its first match losses in the last three weeks by falling in three matches at the Hudson Tournament Saturday, October 10 to finish fourth in its four-team pool.
Holding a 13-9 overall record, including a 7-1 mark in Upper Iowa Conference (UIC) play, the Hawks were scheduled to bring their regular season dual match schedule to a close with a chance to share the UIC season championship with currently UIC-undefeated Starmont in a Tuesday, October 13 showdown at the home of the Stars. Kee will then play in the Upper Iowa Conference Tournament Saturday, October 17 at Postville before opening Class 1A Regional Tournament play Tuesday, October 20 at Turkey Valley.
