Waukon volleyball team wraps up home schedule with loss to Charles City, wins one of seven sets at Hudson Tourney

The Waukon volleyball team played through a second consecutive week without a match victory, still remaining in search of its first victory of the Northeast Iowa Conference season after falling at home to Class 4A seventh-rated Charles City Tuesday, October 6 in three straight sets. The Indians were then swept in three matches at the Hudson Tournament Saturday, October 10 by Class 1A seventh-rated Iowa Valley, Edgewood-Colesburg and the host school, Hudson, to finish fourth in their four-team pool and miss out on advancing to championship bracket play.
Holding a 5-21 season record, 0-5 in Northeast Iowa Conference play, the Indians were scheduled to wrap up their regular season dual schedule at Decorah Tuesday, October 13 before playing in the Northeast Iowa Conference Tournament at Waverly-Shell Rock Saturday, October 17. Waukon will then begin postseason tournament play Monday, October 26 at and against New Hampton.
