Waukon volleyball team defeats Decorah for first NEIC dual match win

The Waukon volleyball team wrapped up its regular season this past week, recording its first Northeast Iowa Conference (NEIC) match victory of the season, but failing to repeat that accomplishment in the NEIC season-ending tournament. The Indian netters pulled off their lone NEIC triumph at Decorah in their final regular season dual match of the season, winning in four sets by scores of 25-20, 27-25, 18-25 and 25-22, but were then defeated by all six other conference teams at the NEIC Tournament Saturday, October 17 at Waverly-Shell Rock to finish seventh at that tournament.
The Indians wrapped up their regular season with a 6-27 overall record, including a 1-5 mark in Northeast Iowa Conference play that placed them sixth in the final seven-team standings. The Indians are scheduled to begin postseason tournament play Monday, October 26 at and against New Hampton.
